Canada Home Chairman’s Message

I would like to thank everyone that is supporting Canada Home as with their support we couldn't do what we do. That goes for everyone buying 50/50, Raffle tickets and the ladies working the tables selling the 50/50 and Raffle tickets I know they work their tails off persuading all our members to purchase these items so

Recently I received a letter from Mooseheart Executive Director, Gary Urwiler, thanking the Canadian Association for the generous donations made to Canada home, including a computer desk, dehumidifier, towels, pots, pans, stainless steel bowls, and the bicycles. They are sincerely grateful for remembering them with our gifts.

Tournament Schedule for 2019

DARTS: Lakeshore Lodge 392 - March 29, 30, 31. Details will be sent when we have more info.

GOLF: St. Catharines Lodge 936 - June 22, 2019. Rockwood Glen Golf & Country Club - Tee Off Time: 12:00 pm Cost is $85 per person includes Cart, Dinner & Prizes.

Thunder Bay Lodge 947 is interested in hosting a Pool Tournament?? What are your thoughts?? They were discussing the first or second weekend in May.

Sarnia Lodge 1046 is also wondering about trying a Cornhole Tournament. Fall or Spring? Again, what are your thoughts??

MOOSE LEGION AREA MANAGER MESSAGE

It will be our pleasure to represent the Ontario Moose Legions at the FUN Weekend planned for Oklahoma City November 8-11. An activity filled weekend is planned with minimal meeting structure. Ritual Competition and Conferral as well to Honor Veterans.

Ontario Moose Legions that will be represented: Nickel City # 29 Councilman Pilgrim Ashley Coffin and Anita. Ambassador Pilgrim Richard & Victoria. Sun Parlor # 95 Ritual and Ontario Deputy Supreme Governor Pilgrim Tim Gowdey. Golden Horseshoe # 132 Pilgrim Don Taskinen and Pilgrim Ken Osbaldeston. Canadian Rainbow # 133 Secretary Fellow Bob Gaudet. There may be others attending from Ontario I am not aware so I apologize if I've missed someone.

Celebrate October… the Cradle Endowment Fundraiser goes all month, October 27th, is Mooseheart Founders Day, also designated as International Open House Day. The opportunities for Halloween Fun & Fellowship, caring for others, and helping your lodge and fraternity are there. Please get involved.

To start the month of November, the 4th to 10th is Retention Week. Your lodge should already have events planned to retain membership and entice those in arrears to renew and help support the kids and seniors again.

Congratulations to our new Fellows: Chris Smith of St. Catharines 936/Hamilton 1142, and Wayne Denvir of St. Catharines 936, Traill McWhirter of Lakeshore 392, Gerry McFadden of East London 1300, and Henry Lariviere of Sarnia 1046, all conferred into The Degree of Honour at St. Catharines convention September 22, 2018.
